WeatherIQ is in development. This page describes the current website prototype and is not a completed privacy policy.

Using this website

Search terms are sent to the WeatherIQ server and then to Open-Meteo or postcodes.io to find locations. Selecting a location sends its coordinates to the WeatherIQ weather service and, when configured, Visual Crossing.

Your browser requests location permission only if you choose “Use my location”. This website does not create accounts or save your locations. Your chosen unit preset is stored locally in this browser until you clear website data or change the setting. The weather service temporarily caches forecasts and uses IP addresses for rate limiting.

Before launch

The operator identity, contact details, lawful bases, retention periods, international transfers, user rights and provider arrangements must be reviewed and added. Hosting infrastructure logging also needs to be documented.

Accounts and deletion

Account creation and cloud sync are not enabled. A verified account deletion flow and contact route must be published before accounts become available.
